Auction Bidding Instructions
Argentine Llama Aficionados On-Line Auction Bidding Instructions
1. To place a bid, simply send us an e-mail at contact@argentinellamas.com with the name of the animal and the amount of your bid. With your very first bid, please include your name and address and a telephone number where you can be reached at the end of the auction. Also, tell us what bidder identifier you want used on the sale pages. The bidder identifier can be your real name, a nickname or alias, your ranch name or a bidder number (up to 3 digits) of your choice.
2. The minimum bid is $1,000 unless otherwise noted, with raises of $100 allowed. If no Bidder ID shows, no bid has yet been made.
3. Bidding starts Friday, June 5th at 8 am (CDT).
4. The Final Deadline for bids is Sunday, June 7th at 8pm (CDT). This is when any sale animals having one bid at the reserve price or higher will be declared sold. Animals which have received a tie bid at the end of the sale will be sold by a direct telephone auction (conference call if necessary) involving all bidders who placed a tie bid.
5. PAYMENT TO SELLER: All Buyers will be instructed (via auction site) to send their payment directly to the Seller of llama within 5 days after the close of the auction, unless other arrangements are made with the Seller. The Seller will be provided with the buyer information. All sales constitute a contract between the Buyer and Seller of each llama sold. ALA will accept no responsibility in any way with regards to the sales contract or post sale details, including transportation, paperwork, etc.
6. NO PAYMENT BY BUYER: Under law the winning bidder is obligated to purchase the llama. If desired, legal action could be brought against a high bidder by the Seller if the bidder fails to provide the funds to purchase the llama. ALA will not pursue any legal action on behalf of the Buyer or Seller or be responsible for any legal fees in such matters. ALA is not liable for any Buyer’s failure to pay. In the event that a winning bidder fails to pay, the Seller is in no way obligated to sell the llama until payment is received. In this case, the Seller may sell to other interested parties. If there are no interested parties and the Seller does not pursue legal action against the auction winner, the llama will be considered a “No Sale”.
7. GUARANTEES: All llamas are sold “as is” unless Seller makes guarantees otherwise. Seller guarantees will be placed on the auction site for those particular lots that have them. All guarantees are between the Buyer and Seller only.
